William Richardson is an experienced professional in the field of electrochemistry and battery engineering, currently serving as Programme Manager and Research Project Manager at The Faraday Institution since October 2022. Previously, William held roles as Lead Electrochemist at INITION and as an Electrochemist and Battery Engineer at Nexeon Ltd. Conducting research at OXIS Energy Ltd as a Scientist and working as an Advanced Design Engineer at Dyson, William also contributed to solid-state battery development during tenure at Ilika plc. Prior research placements at Uppsala University and the University of Southampton focused on lithium-air battery SEI formation and organic synthesis, respectively. William holds a PhD in Chemistry with a specialization in Electrochemistry and a Master's degree in Chemistry from the University of Southampton. A Levels in Chemistry, Biology, and Maths were completed at Nailsea School.
