Barbie Smith has extensive experience in the field of digital media and web development. Barbie began their career as a Technical Writing Manager at Symmetricom in 1995 and later transitioned to roles at various companies, including Triand, Inc., PointServe, and Servana. In 2000, they became a Web Services Manager at Servana (later purchased by PointServe), where they provided project management for the creation of the Southern Union Gas website. In 2001, Barbie worked as a Web Interface Designer at Triand, Inc. In 2006, they joined Farm Credit Bank of Texas as a Sr Web Interface Designer, where they provided strategic leadership for 20 websites. Barbie also served as the Web Services Manager, overseeing a team that redesigned and maintained multiple websites and the company intranet. In their most recent role as Digital Media Director, Barbie led a team of creative and technical professionals in delivering high-quality digital products, including websites, web analytics, SEO, video production, and UX design.
Barbie Smith attended Baylor University and Texas A&M University, where they studied Marketing. Barbie also obtained a UX Certificate from Nielsen Norman Group in 2019.
