Theresa Bangert

Theresa Bangert has extensive experience in the legal and banking sectors. Theresa started their career in 1999 as a Courseware Editor at SDS International, Inc. In 2001, they worked as a Work-Study Coordinator at the University of California, Riverside, where they assisted students with obtaining on-campus work-study jobs and provided career counseling.

From 2004 to 2010, Theresa worked as an Associate at Sheppard Mullin Richter & Hampton LLP, specializing in commercial lending, creditors' rights, business bankruptcy, and business litigation. Theresa'srole involved representing clients in various business disputes and bankruptcy cases.

In 2010, they joined MUFG as a Director and Assistant General Counsel, providing legal and strategic advice on commercial and real estate lending, risk management, and operations. Theresa served as the chair of the bank's Commercial Loan Documentation Forum and was responsible for maintaining internal loan documentation.

At Farm Credit Bank of Texas, Theresa held various roles starting in 2021, including VP, Legal Systems and Associate General Counsel. Theresa provided legal and risk management advice regarding lending systems and loan documentation. Theresa also served as the primary legal liaison for Information Technology department initiatives and developed standard loan documentation for agricultural loans.

Throughout their career, Theresa has demonstrated expertise and leadership in their field, serving on committees and resource groups.

Theresa Bangert holds a Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree in Law from Loyola Law School, Los Angeles, which they obtained from 2001 to 2004. Prior to that, they earned a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Philosophy from the University of California, Riverside, where they studied from 1994 to 1999.
