Catherine Shafer

Catherine Shafer is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in the banking and higher education sectors. Currently serving as a Compliance Officer at Farmers State Bank since April 2016, Catherine has held multiple roles including Loan Operations Supervisor and Loan Operations Specialist. Prior experience includes a position as Client Associate at Bank of America Merrill Lynch and various leadership roles at Mount Mercy University, including Executive Director for Advancement Services. Catherine began their career at the University of Northern Iowa, working as Facilities Coordinator of the President's House. Catherine holds a Bachelor of Arts in Spanish Language and Literature from the University of Northern Iowa and a Master's Degree in Strategic Leadership from Mount Mercy University. Additionally, Catherine studied at Universidad de Oviedo in 2007.
