Christian Carlberg has worked in a variety of engineering roles since 1995. Christian started as a Robotic Warrior for Battlebots in 1995. In 2003, they were a Design Engineer at Applied Minds. In 2007, they were an Engineer at Xcelaero Corporation, where they designed and tested high efficiency military fans. From 2009 to 2010, they were a Direct Contractor for the United States Air Force. From 2010 to 2011, they were a Product Design Engineer at Lezyne, where they designed bike accessory products for overseas mass production. In 2012, they were a Kickstarter Legend for HexBright, where they managed every element of a fun open source flashlight project. From 2011 to 2018, they were a Lead Mechanical Engineer at Suitable Technologies, where they overhauled the internal sheet metal design for easy production and field reliability. From 2018 to 2021, they were the Director of Mechanical Engineering at Bossa Nova Robotics, where they were overall responsible for the mechanical design of the second generation shelf-scanning robot. Since 2021, they have been a Staff Mechanical Engineer at FarmWise Labs and a Principle Mechanical Engineer at Coros.
Christian Carlberg received their Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Cornell University from 1988 to 1992. Christian then went on to receive their Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute from 1993 to 1995.
