Rodolfo Lopez

Rodolfo Lopez has a wealth of experience in the fields of teleoperations, research, teaching, and tutoring. Most recently, they served as TeleOperations Lead at FarmWise since 2021. Prior to this, they were at Zoox from 2019-2021, where they held the roles of TeleOperations Training Specialist and Teleoperations Software Technician. Theirwork as a Training Specialist resulted in a 200% increase in available trained remote operators, as well as a safety audit process that reduced failed engagements. From 2013-2015, they were a Graduate Student Researcher and Graduate Student Teaching Assistant at the University of California, Merced. During this time, they lead the experimental design and development of a novel method for aluminum nanostructures, created a model that optimized key optical and geometric parameters, and conducted validity tests of the model. In 2015, they were an Adjunct Instructor at California State University, Stanislaus. From 2011-2012, they were a Graduate Student Researcher at California State University, Northridge, where they implemented custom software to control Scanning Electron Microscope (SEM) for Electron Beam Lithography (EBL) and designed EBL templates. In 2012, they were a Visiting Research Scientist at Delft University of Technology, where they operated an atomic force microscope (AFM) to acquire atom-level resolution images of nanoscale dislocations on graphene. Finally, from 2008-2015, they were an Academic Tutor at California State University, Stanislaus.

Rodolfo Lopez attended California State University, Stanislaus from 2007 to 2011, where they earned a Bachelor of Science in Physics. Rodolfo then attended California State University, Northridge from 2011 to 2013, where they earned a Master of Science in Physics. Finally, they attended the University of California, Merced from 2013 to 2018, where they earned a Master of Science in Physics.
