Claire Hayward

Claire Hayward is an experienced educator in the field of history, currently serving as a Subject Tutor in Modern History at The Sixth Form College Farnborough since August 2019. Previously, Claire was a Lecturer in History at Farnborough College of Technology from January 2016 to August 2019, where responsibilities included designing Modern History BA modules and teaching various topics including gender and sexuality in 20th-century Britain. Claire's background also includes roles as a Project Researcher for Historic England, where involvement centered around the LGBTQ heritage project, and as a freelance fact checker for BBC History Magazine. With a strong academic foundation that includes a PhD in History from Kingston University and a PGCE for Lifelong Learning, Claire has contributed to the historical narrative through writing, teaching, and research across multiple platforms.
