Rebecca Shafer

Rebecca Shafer has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and industries. Their most recent position was at Farragut Systems, where they worked as a Team Lead and Software Developer. In this role, they were responsible for maintaining and supporting multiple applications using tools like ADO, GIT, PL/SQL, C#, and Blazer. Rebecca also handled developer and QA resource planning, deployments, and ensuring budgets and deadlines were met.

Prior to that, Rebecca was an active member and volunteer at First Reformed Church for over two decades. Rebecca also worked as an Algebra Teacher at Atlas International School for a year and as a Lesson Plan Developer at Career Communications, Inc. during the same time.

Rebecca's earlier career includes positions as a Software Engineer at MicroMass Communications from 1998 to 2002, and as an Electrical Engineer at Black & Veatch from 1990 to 1997.

Rebecca Shafer obtained their Bachelor of Science in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Iowa State University between 1985 and 1989. Later, they pursued further education at North Carolina State University, where they earned a licensure in Mathematics Teacher Education from 2007 to 2009.
