Muhammad Usman Awais

Muhammad Usman Awais has a diverse range of work experience spanning over several years. Muhammad Usman started their career in 2006 as a Software Engineer at Strategic Systems International, where they gained expertise in understanding and maintaining legacy code. In 2007, they joined Techlogix and further honed their skills in enterprise-level design and development, utilizing various technologies from IBM, Java, and Microsoft.

In 2009, Muhammad joined empower as a Software Engineer and also completed their Master Thesis, resulting in the development of an intelligent search component for the product "empower". Muhammad Usman'swork involved utilizing Microsoft technologies such as C#, SQL Server, WCF, WPF, and MS Office Interop.

From 2012 to 2015, Muhammad worked as a Research Fellow (PhD) at the Austrian Institute of Technology. Muhammad Usman'sresearch focused on investigating distributed algorithms for complex simulations, proposing the novel use of the High-Level Architecture (HLA) standard and the Functional Mock-up Interface (FMI) standard.

In 2016, Muhammad transitioned into academia and joined FAST-NUCES as an Assistant Professor. Muhammad Usman'srole involved managing a large number of students and inspiring them to achieve excellence through their managerial and interpersonal skills.

In 2019, Muhammad moved into the industry again and became a Consultant for Data Science at Programmers Force, utilizing their expertise in data science and analysis.

In 2021, they joined Educative, Inc. as a Content Architect, where they utilized their knowledge and experience to create engaging and informative content.

Most recently, Muhammad has been working at Siemens as a Senior Technical Lead and will transition into the role of Staff Engineer in 2023.

Muhammad Usman Awais completed their Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Modeling and Distributed Simulation at Technische Universität Wien from 2012 to 2015. Prior to that, from 2008 to 2011, they obtained their Master of Science (MS) in Autonomous Systems from Bonn-Rhein-Sieg University of Applied Sciences. Muhammad Usman'seducational journey started with a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science from the University of the Punjab, which they obtained from 2001 to 2005.

In addition to their formal education, Muhammad Usman Awais also holds several certifications. Muhammad Usman completed "Jeff Dyer on Innovation" from LinkedIn in May 2023, "Rust Essential Training" from LinkedIn in November 2022, "Applied Machine Learning: Foundations" from LinkedIn in October 2022, and "Machine Learning and AI Foundations: Predictive Modeling Strategy at Scale" from LinkedIn in October 2022.
