Alex Yao

Alex Yao is a seasoned professional in the optical transceiver industry, currently serving as the Global VP of Strategic Marketing at FAST PHOTONICS TECH CO., LTD since November 2022. Previously, Alex founded and led PRIMUS IT Limited as CEO, focusing on a range of optical transceiver products and partnerships. Experience also includes a role as Business Development Executive at Chengdu Tsuhan Science & Technology Co., Ltd, Director at PPC IT Solutions, and CEO at Flextron Technology Ltd, where Alex was involved in R&D for optical and millimeter wave technologies. Early career includes a position as PLM Consultant with Comstar Communications Ltd and Technical Support Engineer at NeoPhotonics. Alex holds a Master’s degree in Electronics Engineering from Tsinghua University and a Bachelor's degree in Applied Physics from Shenzhen University.
