Viken Shah

Viken Shah has extensive work experience spanning over three decades. Their most recent position is as a Senior Sales Engineer at Fastly, where they have been working since June 2021. Prior to that, they worked as a Solutions Engineer at Akamai Technologies from June 2017 to February 2021.

Before joining Akamai Technologies, Viken held the role of Solutions Engineer at Dyn, a cloud-based Internet Performance Management (IPM) company. At Dyn, they served as a trusted advisor and solution architect, conducted technical demos, and aligned customer requirements to the Dyn solution. Viken also communicated the unique differentiators of IPM space compared to other performance monitoring spaces.

Viken's earlier experience includes working as a Sales Engineer at BlueCat Networks from January 2015 to March 2016 and as a Technical Sales Consultant at AT&T from October 2012 to December 2014.

Prior to these roles, Viken served as a Product Marketing Manager and Engineering Support at Tellabs from June 1999 to January 2012. Viken also worked as an Engineering Support at Software Development Systems from June 1997 to November 1999.

Before moving into the technology industry, Viken worked as an Application Engineer at LaMarche Mfg from March 1994 to June 1997 and an Inside sales/Application Engineer at American Solenoid from June 1990 to March 1994.

Viken Shah completed their Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) degree in Marketing & Finance at North Central College in 2014. In the same year, they also attained a Master's Degree in Networking Technologies & Data Mining/Business Intelligence Technologies from the same institution.

Prior to their time at North Central College, Viken Shah pursued a Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Computer Engineering with a focus on Microprocessors & Digital Signal Processing at the Illinois Institute of Technology. The exact dates of their bachelor's degree program are not specified.

In terms of additional certifications, Viken Shah obtained a Certificate of Cloud Security Knowledge (CCSK) from the Cloud Security Alliance in December 2020.
