Eldredge Bermingham

Eldredge Bermingham is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in science and strategic leadership. Currently serving as Co-Founder and Head of Strategy & Partnerships at Velocia since January 2019, Eldredge also holds the position of Chief Science Officer at the Patricia and Phillip Frost Museum of Science since 2014. Additionally, Eldredge has engaged in nomadic endeavors with the Fastrack Institute since July 2017, focusing on urban studies specific to Miami. With a notable 25-year tenure at the Smithsonian Institution, including roles as Director of the Smithsonian Tropical Research Institute and Senior Scientist, Eldredge has made significant contributions to evolutionary genetics and biodiversity research. Educated at the University of Georgia with a Ph.D. in Genetics and a B.Sc. from Cornell University, Eldredge's academic background complements a successful career dedicated to advancing scientific understanding and fostering strategic partnerships.
