Loraine Campanati de Andrade is an accomplished scientist with extensive experience in the fields of cell biology and process development. Currently serving as a Principal Scientist at Fate Therapeutics Inc. since October 2021, Loraine has also held positions as Senior Scientist in both process development and general research. Prior to this role, Loraine worked as an Assistant Professor and Post-doctoral fellow at the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro from February 2005 to July 2024. Additional experience includes a Staff Scientist role at The Scripps Research Institute and a Post-doctoral fellowship at the Lieber Institute for Brain Development. Loraine's early career featured a Visiting Fellow position at the National Institutes of Health. Loraine holds a Doctor of Philosophy in Cell Biology from the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro, a Master's degree in Cell Biology, Parasitology, and Histology from UERJ, and a Bachelor of Science in Cell Biology and Anatomy from UENF.
