Joshua Dema

Joshua Dema has a diverse work experience in various roles. Joshua worked as a UX Researcher at FatSecret, where they collaborated with cross-functional teams to enhance user experience. Joshua conducted research activities, analyzed data, and identified insights.

Joshua also worked as a Digital Accessibility Consultant at Intopia, where they conducted inclusive user research and facilitated usability testing sessions with diverse user groups. Joshua worked with clients such as Australia Post, ANZ, and Commonwealth Bank Australia.

Additionally, Joshua has experience as a Classical Cellist, performing and teaching the cello. Joshua has worked as a User Experience Course Mentor at Academy Xi and held roles as a UX Researcher and Designer at batyr and Maslow For People.

Joshua also has experience in educational institutions, including the University of Melbourne, where they held roles such as Admissions Officer, Program Coordinator, and Student Support Consultant. Joshua worked as a Cello Teacher and Conductor at The Mac.Robertson Girls' High School and as a Teaching Artist with the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra.

Joshua Dema began their education at the University of Melbourne in 2012, where they pursued a Bachelor of Music (BMus) degree with a focus on Violoncello Performance. Joshua completed this program in 2014. Following that, in 2015, they enrolled at DePaul University and earned a Master of Music (MMus) degree with Distinction in Music Performance, which they completed in 2017. In the same year, they also obtained an LMusA (Distinction) - Licentiate of Music degree in Violoncello from AMEB.

In terms of additional certifications, Joshua obtained the DHS Trusted Tester Certification from the U.S. Department of Homeland Security in August 2021. Joshua also completed various certifications related to User Experience (UX), including User Experience Transform from Academy Xi in September 2020, User Experience, Elevate from Academy Xi in July 2020, Discover UX Design from CareerFoundry in March 2020, and User Experience for Web Design from LinkedIn e-learning in February 2020.

Additionally, Joshua acquired certifications such as Developing Client Relationships from the University of Melbourne in 2019, Working With Children Check from the Department of Justice in 2019, and HLTAID003 Provide First Aid from the Department of Education & Training, Victoria in 2017. Furthermore, they hold an Australian Driver's License from VicRoads.
