Karolina Riedel

Karolina Riedel is an experienced professional currently serving in multiple capacities at Sweden in EU, including as a Financial Counsellor for the EU budget and Chair of the Working Party on Own Resources since August 2020. Riedel has a long history of involvement in election monitoring, acting as an International Election Observer for FBA since December 2011 and previously working as a statistical analyst for OSCE ODIHR from May 2016 to April 2019. Riedel's career includes significant roles at the Swedish Ministry of Finance, where Riedel was Deputy Director from January 2017 to August 2020, and various project coordination and research positions at the University of Gothenburg. Riedel holds a Master’s degree in economics and a Bachelor's degree with a focus on statistics and international relations from the School of Business Economics and Law at the University of Gothenburg.
