Joel Maia

Joel Maia has extensive experience in leadership and technical roles within the combustion systems industry. Currently serving as Chief Executive Officer at FCT Combustion since July 2018, Joel previously held the position of Technical Director at FCT Combustion GmbH, where responsibilities included establishing a new business unit in Austria and focusing on market development. Prior to that, Joel was the Technical and R&D Director at A Tec Greco Combustion Systems Europe GmbH, leading a team of 18 and overseeing the transfer of a technology center from Brazil to Austria. Joel's career began in Brazil at A Tec Greco Projetos e Equipamentos Ltda, where roles included Technical Director, Project Manager, and Process Engineer, engaging in negotiations for company acquisitions and leading project teams. Joel holds dual Master of Business Administration degrees from the University of Minnesota and WU (Vienna University of Economics and Business), as well as a Mechanical Engineering degree from Escola Politécnica da USP and a Technician degree in Data Processing from Escola Tecnica Federal do Estado de Sao Paulo.
