Majid Malek has a diverse work experience spanning over several companies and roles. Majid is currently serving as the Vice President of Delivery at Featurespace since August 2020. Prior to this, they worked as an Investor/Advisor at SmartPM Technologies, Inc. starting from January 2017. Before that, they served as an Advisor at RADAR from October 2016.

Majid also has experience working as a Consultant and Start-up Advisor as a self-employed individual from March 2016 to August 2020. During this time, they provided consulting services in data science, machine learning, NLP, and computer vision. Majid also acted as a consultant and advisor to various start-ups, fund managers, investment analysts, and management consultants on AI, ML, mobile, and semiconductor technologies.

During the period from October 2011 to February 2016, Majid worked as the Director of Engineering at Qualcomm. Majid led the commercialization efforts for Qualcomm cellular modem SoCs in multiple generations of iPhone and iPad, contributing to significant revenue for the company. Additionally, they established and managed a customer engineering team in Silicon Valley.

Prior to Qualcomm, they worked as the Director of Marketing at Ralink Technology (acquired by MediaTek) from May 2010 to September 2011. Majid was responsible for leading strategic and technical marketing functions.

Before joining Ralink Technology, Majid worked at Qualcomm as a Senior Staff Engineer/Manager from December 2006 to May 2010. Majid led Qualcomm's Silicon Valley and global Wi-Fi customer engineering teams and played a crucial role in securing Qualcomm's first iPhone design win.

Majid also served as the Director of Customer Engineering at Airgo Networks (acquired by Qualcomm) from December 2003 to December 2006. During this time, they played a significant role in the development and commercialization of MIMO-OFDM chipset technology and Wi-Fi systems with high throughput.

At the start of their career, Majid worked as a Hardware Design Engineer at Hewlett-Packard Company from May 1999 to December 2003. Majid led the hardware development for Hewlett-Packard's first Wi-Fi print server and printers with embedded Wi-Fi. Majid also made contributions to the IEEE 802.11 standards and the Wi-Fi Alliance's test plan as a voting member. Overall, Majid Malek has demonstrated expertise across multiple domains, including technology consulting, engineering, marketing, and leadership roles.

Majid Malek earned a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology in 1999. In 2002, they obtained a Master of Science (MS) degree in Electrical Engineering from Stanford University. In 2017, Majid pursued further education and completed a Master of Science (MS) in Computer Science from the Georgia Institute of Technology. Additionally, they obtained a certification in "Machine Learning Foundations: A Case Study Approach" from Coursera in January 2017. Majid also briefly attended The Data Incubator in 2017 to study Data Science.
