Nora Stephens

Nora Stephens is a highly skilled legal professional with extensive experience in criminal defense and public service. Currently serving as a Trial Attorney at Federal Defenders of San Diego, Inc. since September 2021, Nora has previously held roles as a Legal Intern at The Bronx Defenders and Federal Defenders of New York, as well as a Legal Extern at Neighborhood Defender Service. Nora's background includes serving as a Special Assistant and Advisor in the Mayor's Office of Appointments for the City of New York, where responsibilities included advising on boards and commissions, and as an Investigator with the NYC Civilian Complaint Review Board. Earlier career experiences encompass work with organizations such as the Lawyers' Committee for Civil Rights Under Law and Children's Rights, alongside an internship at The White House.
