Cristhian Vera is an accomplished economist with extensive experience in macroeconomic analysis and research. Currently serving as an Economist at the Federal Maritime Commission since November 2021, Cristhian previously held roles as a Research Analyst at the International Monetary Fund, where responsibilities included monitoring developments in Central America, and as a Consultant at the World Bank Group, contributing analytical content to flagship reports. Earlier experience includes internships at the Federal Reserve Board and the Inter-American Development Bank, as well as serving as a Graduate Teaching Assistant at Rutgers University. Cristhian possesses a Master's Degree in Economics from Rutgers University - Newark, a MicroMasters Certificate from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, and a Bachelor's Degree from Ramapo College of New Jersey.
