Johannes Haas

Johannes Haas is a seasoned professional in environmental policy and sustainable resource management, currently serving as a Senior Policy Officer at the Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development since October 2021. Previously, Johannes held roles at Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH, including Advisor supporting the Congo Basin Forest Partnership and Temporary Expert positions. Additional expertise was gained through contributions at the German Federal Ministry for the Environment and WWF, focusing on topics such as climate change, conservation, and social impact assessments.
