VP, FedNow initiative at Federal Reserve Bank of Boston

Edward (Ed) Jones is a vice president at the Federal Reserve Bank of Boston with responsibility for the overall design, management and execution of operations required to support the ongoing technical and delivery needs of the FedNowSM Program, as well as the transition to production support and operations. His role interfaces with internal stakeholders, customers for planning, delivery, and service management while owning ongoing ITIL processes, and the implementation and driving of continuous improvement initiatives.

Prior to joining the Bank, Ed was vice president at Charter Communications where he managed their global service assurance organization spanning locations and personnel in the US, Canada, India, and the United Kingdom for their multi-cloud service provider division. Previously, he spent 19 years at Dell EMC where he served as vice president of Engineering Operations leading the enterprise engineering services team in charge of services and tools strategies, architecture, program operations and communications, asset management, DevOps engineering, cloud engineering, cloud operations, and business operations, as well as serving as chief architect for ExxonMobil.

Ed holds a bachelor’s in mathematics from Pennsylvania State University and an M.B.A. from the University of Phoenix.
