James Heron

James Heron is an experienced professional in quality engineering and technology management, currently serving as Quality Engineering Manager for FedNow℠ Technology at the Federal Reserve Bank of Boston since September 2020. With a long-standing commitment to leadership, James holds the position of Vice President on the Board of Directors for Agile Richmond and serves as Conference Co-Chair for InnoVAte Virginia. James previously worked as Senior Manager of Software Quality Engineering at GE Healthcare, and in various roles at Genworth Financial, including Director of Operations Technology and QA Manager/Test Leader. James's career began at GE Energy, where responsibilities included Product Development Test Team Leader and Software Systems Development Engineer. Academic qualifications include a BS and MS in Electrical Engineering from Penn State University and George Mason University, respectively, as well as a BA in Physics from PennWest Edinboro.
