Chris Schreck

Chris Schreck currently serves as the Community Engagement Manager for the Houston Branch of the Federal Reserve Bank of Dallas, a position held since November 2021. Prior to this role, Chris worked as the Global Business Expansion Program Manager for the City of Austin, focusing on business engagement and international cooperation within the Economic Development Department from 2019 to November 2021. Previous experience includes serving as the Director of Regional Planning & Services at the Capital Area Council of Governments and as an Economic Development Manager, providing strategic support for local governments in Central Texas. Early career roles included positions as an Economic & Technology Policy Analyst at SRI International, graduate internships at the Overseas Private Investment Corporation and the U.S. Department of the Treasury, and teaching assistant roles at Georgetown University. Chris earned a Master of Public Policy in Development Economics and International Development from Georgetown University and a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from The University of Texas at Austin.
