Christopher Otrok

Chris Otrok is a highly experienced economist currently serving as a Senior Economic Policy Advisor at the Federal Reserve Bank of Dallas since July 2021. Prior to this role, Chris worked as a Research Fellow at the Federal Reserve Bank of St. Louis from September 2011 to July 2021 and held the position of Sam B Cook Professor of Economics at the University of Missouri until June 2021. Additionally, Chris contributed as a Senior Economist at the Council of Economic Advisers within the Executive Office of the President from July 2016 to May 2017 and served as a Professor at the University of Virginia from 1999 to 2011. Chris holds a PhD in Economics from the University of Iowa (1994-1999) and a Bachelor's degree in Economics from Davidson College (1988-1992).
