Ian Spear

Ian Spear is the Assistant Director, Operations & Payment Systems at Federal Reserve. Ian has over three years of experience in advising financial services and technology companies on compliance with state and federal laws governing electronic payments, online and mobile banking, money transmission, anti-money laundering, the Electronic Signatures in Global and National Commerce Act (ESIGN), and the Uniform Electronic Transactions Act (UETA).

Ian Spear earned their Juris Doctor degree cum laude from American University Washington College of Law. Prior to that, they earned their Bachelor of Arts degree cum laude from the University of Michigan.
