Julia Heald

Julia Heald is an accomplished attorney currently serving at the Federal Trade Commission since October 2021. Prior to this role, Julia was a Litigation Associate at Simpson Thacher & Bartlett LLP from September 2015 to March 2021, where Julia also worked as a Summer Associate in 2014. Julia's legal career began as a Public Benefits Paralegal at the AIDS Law Project of Pennsylvania from 2010 to 2012, and earlier internships included positions at LIFT and the US EPA. Julia earned a Doctor of Law (JD), cum laude, from New York University School of Law between 2012 and 2015, following a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in Political Science from Haverford College, completed in 2010.
