Joumana Zeid

VP, Project Team Leadership & Portfolio Strategy at Federation Bio

Joumana Zeid is the Vice President, Project Team Leadership and Portfolio Strategy at Federation Bio. In her current role, Joumana is responsible for leading the cross-functional teams accountable for advancing the company’s development assets including the lead program focused on enteric hyperoxaluria.

Joumana has over 15 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry starting at Genentech During her tenure, she held a variety of roles in Bioprocess Development, Device Development, and Portfolio Management & Operations (PM&O). As part of PM&O, Joumana worked with early development teams (pre-IND through phase 2). After Genentech, Joumana held a variety of Project Management and Team Leadership roles at companies including Plexxikon (a member of the Daiichi Sankyo Group) and Achaogen. In her roles, she worked with project teams to meet corporate goals, including key regulatory milestones. Her experience spans a range of therapeutic areas including Oncology, Ophthalmology, Neuroscience, and Infectious Disease.

Prior to joining Federation Bio, Joumana was a Project Team Leader in the Product and Portfolio Management organization at Aimmune Therapeutics where she led multiple project teams focused on developing treatments for food allergies. This included an internal asset based on the company’s platform of oral immunotherapy (OIT) as well as an in-licensed antibody asset.

Joumana received her BS and MS in Chemical Engineering from San Jose State University and an MBA from UNC Kenan-Flagler.
