Alex Resch

Alex Resch currently holds positions as Senior Advisor for Learning Innovation at the Institute of Education Sciences and as an Impact Fellow at the Federation of American Scientists, both starting in late 2023. Previously, Alex served as a Principal Researcher and Senior Director of Learning and Strategy at Mathematica from 2018 to 2023, and additionally held various roles there, including Senior Researcher and Interim SPO at the Gates Foundation from 2018 to 2019. Earlier experience includes serving as Associate Director and Senior Researcher at Mathematica Policy Research from 2008 to 2017, and as a PhD student at the Gerald R. Ford School of Public Policy from 2003 to 2008. Alex began a career as a Research Assistant at the Federal Reserve Board of Governors from 1998 to 2003. Alex earned a PhD in Economics from the University of Michigan.
