Chrystal Caruthers has a diverse and extensive work experience spanning various roles in content strategy, journalism, and reporting. Chrystal began their career as a Reporter for The Tampa Tribune, where they focused on the impact of new communities on Pasco County. Chrystal then worked as a Real Estate Reporter and Columnist for the Tampa Bay Business Journal, covering the business and financial aspects of the real estate industry in Tampa. Caruthers later joined the Daily Herald as a Business Reporter, covering DuPage County and writing news columns and enterprise stories.
In 2000, Caruthers transitioned to the role of News Producer and Reporter at Media Maven Inc., where they provided coverage for major national outlets and covered breaking news events. Chrystal'swork included covering the 2000 presidential campaign and election, stationed at the White House and Capitol Hill. Chrystal also worked with politicians, celebrities, and key public officials to gather information and produce stories.
Caruthers then moved to realtor.com as a Senior Editor, where they authored original content and managed freelance writers. Chrystal'scontent consistently generated significant engagement and went viral on the platform. Following this, they became the Director of Content Strategy and Development for Gateless, the B2B marketing division of Guaranteed Rate. Caruthers led a team engaged in B2B and B2C content creation, increasing the company's visibility and user base within a short period. Chrystal also redesigned the website to showcase popular content, leading to increased shares.
Most recently, Caruthers joined Feeding America as a Content Director, where they oversee the development and execution of digital content marketing and engagement strategies. Chrystal works closely with Marketing leadership to evaluate new channel opportunities and directs the Web channel strategy and experience.

Chrystal Caruthers holds a Master of Journalism degree from Northwestern University - Medill School of Journalism, which they obtained from 1999 to 2000. Prior to that, they completed their Bachelor of Arts (BA) in Business/Corporate Communications at Howard University from 1990 to 1993.
