Karla Loken DO OBGYN FACOOG

Karla Loken DO OBGYN FACOOG has a diverse work experience spanning over several years. Karla began their career at Aspirus as an OB/GYN from an unknown start date until 2006. From 2006 to 2011, they worked at Banner Health as an OB/GYN, specializing in Total and Supracervical Hysterectomy, Essure Tubal ligation, Thermachoice ablation techniques, and Di Vinci Surgery. After leaving Banner Health, Karla joined St. Vincent's Hospital as the Director of the Women's Health Clinic and Da Vinci surgeon from April 2012 to October 2014. Karla then worked at Henry Community Health as an OB/GYN from October 2014 to August 2016. Simultaneously, they served as an OB GYN Laborist at Indiana University Health IU West from October 2016 to July 2018. From 2018 to 2020, Karla took on roles at Eli Lilly and Company as a GPS Medical Reviewer and Medical Doctor. Following that, they served as the Head of Clinical Development - GYN Surgical at Hologic, Inc. from June 2020 to July 2021. Karla then joined Roche as a Disease Area Partner from November 2021 to February 2023. Most recently, they have been appointed as the Chief Medical Officer at FEMSelect starting in January 2023.

Karla Loken completed their Bachelor of Arts degree in Biology at Augustana College from 1991 to 1995. Karla then attended Des Moines University from 1995 to 1999, where they obtained both a Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) degree and a Doctor of Osteopathy degree. Following their medical education, Karla Loken completed an OB/GYN residency from 2001 to 2004 at St. Joseph Mercy Oakland Hospital. Karla holds additional certification from ACOOG as a Physician, Obstetrician, and Gynecologist.
