Amara Morrison has extensive experience in land use entitlement processes and has worked in various roles throughout their career. Amara is currently serving as a Director with Fennemore Wendel, where they advise private sector clients on all aspects of the land use entitlement process. Prior to this, they were a Partner at Wendel Rosen LLP, where they provided guidance to clients on land use entitlements for different types of projects. Before entering private practice, they worked as an Assistant City Attorney for the City of Livermore, advising various departments on municipal law, including land use and planning. Amara also served as an Assistant City Attorney for the City of Walnut Creek. Overall, Amara has a strong background in land use and planning law, as well as extensive experience in municipal law.

Amara Morrison attended Denison University from 1979 to 1981, where they pursued a liberal arts education. Following this, they enrolled at the University of Michigan from 1981 to 1983, earning a Bachelor of Science degree in Natural Resources. Finally, they attended Vermont Law and Graduate School from 1984 to 1987, obtaining a JD (Juris Doctor) and an MSL (Master of Studies in Law) degree specializing in Environmental Law.
