Tilmann Ochs has worked in various roles within the technology industry since 2000. In 2000, they were a Working Student at Medat Computersysteme GmbH. From 2004 to 2009, they worked at BMW Car IT GmbH as an Embedded Software Developer, researching and developing embedded hard real-time systems. From 2008 to 2009, they worked at LFK-Lenkflugkörpersysteme GmbH as a Systems Engineer, responsible for requirements elicitation and high-level system design for the battle management and communication software of an medium range air defence system. From 2009 to 2019, they worked at BMW Group, first as a System Architect and then as a Software Specialist, developing the upcoming Adaptive AUTOSAR standard and researching a Linux-based implementation of the standard for highly automated vehicles. In 2019, they joined Autonomous Intelligent Driving GmbH as a Safety Engineer. From 2020 to 2022, they worked at Argo AI as a Staff Software Engineer, Staff Systems Engineer, and Senior Safety Engineer. Currently, they are the Head of Systems, Safety and Cybersecurity at Fernride, a company that enables automated and sustainable logistics by combining the human skills of in-office drivers with autonomous driving technology.
Tilmann Ochs attended the Technical University of Munich and obtained a Diplom in Computer Science.
