Tapio Helle has a strong background in finance and accounting, with extensive experience in various leadership positions. Tapio started their career as an Auditor at PwC from November 1989 to January 1991. Tapio then joined Haka Oy as a Controller and local CFO, where they were responsible for management reporting and tax planning until August 1994.
From August 1994 to March 2000, Tapio worked as a Group Controller at Sinebrychoff, overseeing the controlling of international activities, reporting of foreign subsidiaries in Russia and Baltics, and tax planning.
Tapio then joined Fort James Corporation in March 2000 as the Controller of the Production Plant. Tapio was responsible for accounting, reporting, and controlling of the Moscow plant until October 2000.
Tapio further enriched their professional journey at Stockmann, where they worked as the Head of Internal Audit from October 2000 to February 2007. In this role, they managed the internal audit function globally, conducted risk assessment and risk-based audits, and reported directly to the managing director.
Tapio's next career move was to John Nurminen Prima Group Oy, where they served as the CFO from April 2007 to January 2009. In this position, they were in charge of financing, controlling, management reporting, budgeting, and was a member of the management group.
Since February 2009, Tapio has been associated with the Ferratum Group, where they currently hold the position of Director, Finance Intelligence. Their responsibilities include global tax planning, transfer pricing, and they are also the General Manager for Ferratum Russia.
Tapio Helle attended the Suomalais-venäläinen koulu from 1974 to 1981. During this time, they did not pursue any specific degree or field of study. From 1983 to 1988, Tapio Helle attended Helsingin kauppakorkeakoulu and obtained a Master's degree in Accounting and Finance.
