Bijay K. Padhi

Bijay K. Padhi, PhD, currently serves as the Senior Director and Head of India R&D at Ferring Pharmaceuticals, overseeing research and development operations since June 2020. Prior to this role, Bijay held the position of Head of Product Development & Research at Unichem Laboratories Limited, directing drug product development from nomination to commercialization from January 2018 to June 2020. Bijay's extensive experience at Dr. Reddy's Laboratories from 2008 to 2018 as Director & Head of Oral Formulations involved leading a team in the development of oral differentiated 505(b)(2) products, achieving significant milestones such as the NDA approvals for ELYXYB, Minolira, and ZENAVOD. Bijay also has a strong background in formulation development, having worked as a Senior Research Scientist at Ranbaxy and in various research roles earlier in the career. Educational qualifications include a PhD in Pharmaceutics from The Maharaja Sayajirao University of Baroda, along with an M.Pharm from Rajiv Gandhi Prodyogiki Vishwavidyalaya and a B.Pharm from Berhampur University.
