Derek Miller

Derek Miller is an experienced professional in plant operations and engineering with a background in chemical engineering. Currently serving as the Plant Operations Manager at Ferro Corporation since May 2021, Derek oversees all plant operations, including environmental health and safety (EH&S). Prior roles include Production Manager and Power and Production Manager at Morton Salt from February 2014 to October 2021, as well as Chemical Engineer III at Ferro Corporation from March 2011 to February 2014, where responsibilities included designing custom colors using metal oxides and scaling up production batches. Earlier experience includes working as a Petroleum Engineer at Intertec from August 2010 to January 2011. Derek holds a Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering from Youngstown State University, completed in 2010.
