John Lofy has extensive work experience in various engineering roles. John started their career in 1984 as a Mechanical Designer at Loral Electro-Optical Systems and later moved on to TRW Technar as a Product Engineer. In 1993, they joined Gentherm as a Program Manager, working on projects related to electric vehicle battery packs and electric motor development. John then became a Lead Designer at Gentherm Global Power Technologies, focusing on navigation systems. In 1998, they transitioned to the role of Senior Mechanical Design Engineer at Gentherm, where they worked until 2018. Currently, John holds the position of Principal Engineer at Ferrotec.
John Lofy completed their education in Mechanical Engineering, starting with a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering (BSME) from Loyola Marymount University, where they attended from 1977 to 1981. John then pursued further studies at the University of California, Berkeley, from 1981 to 1983, earning a Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
