Panagiotis Sarafis

Chief Product Officer & Co-Founder at Ferryhopper

Panagiotis Sarafis is an experienced professional with a diverse background in product management, engineering, consulting, teaching, and research. Panagiotis is currently serving as the Chief Product Officer & Co-Founder at Ferryhopper since October 2018. Prior to this, they worked as a Research and Development Engineer at Intracom Telecom from July 2017 to October 2018. Panagiotis also served as an IT Business Consultant at EUROPEAN DYNAMICS from April 2017 to July 2017.

In addition to their professional roles, Sarafis has also worked as an Adjunct Lecturer at Piraeus University of Applied Sciences, teaching the course "Nanoelectronics" from October 2016 to February 2017. Panagiotis completed their military service in the Hellenic Army from November 2015 to August 2016.

Sarafis has a strong research background, having worked as a Postdoctoral Research Associate and a PhD Student - Research Associate at NCSR "Demokritos" from June 2015 to November 2015, and September 2010 to June 2015, respectively. Their research focused on improving the performance of RF circuits and the on-chip integration of advanced devices.

Early in their career, Sarafis gained practical experience as a Technical Student at CERN from February 2009 to March 2010, where they contributed to the control and safety of the CMS experiment.

Before entering the professional world, they worked as a Web Developer at Reality Post Productions from August 2008 to December 2008.

Panagiotis Sarafis completed a Diploma in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the National Technical University of Athens, a seven-year program that took place from 2003 to 2010. Panagiotis then pursued further studies at the same institution, becoming a PhD student in Microelectronics - Nanotechnology from 2010 to 2015.
