Christian Gradl has worked in the energy industry since 2006. Christian began their career at BP as a Completions Specialist and Drilling and Completions Engineer. In 2011, they joined Hess Corporation as a Completions Engineering Advisor, Completions Engineering Team Lead, Senior Completions Engineer, and Senior Completions Engineer, where they developed an appraisal plan for an international unconventional exploration project in the Lias formation (Paris Basin, France) and was the technical lead for a joint study agreement with Sinopec on unconventional oil prospects in the Shengli field (Northern China). Christian also delivered recommendations to Sinopec for appraisal and field development and trained local engineers. In 2019, they became the Vice President of Operations at Fervo Energy.
Christian Gradl obtained a Bachelor of Science in Petroleum Engineering from Montanuniversität Leoben between 2002 and 2005. Christian then pursued a Master of Science in Petroleum Engineering from the same university in 2006. In 2015, they completed a Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) in Business Administration and Management, General from the Texas McCombs School of Business. Christian also completed a Graduate Research in Drilling Engineering at the Colorado School of Mines in 2006.
