Sean Guthrie

Sean Guthrie currently serves as the Assistant Head Of School and Head of Middle School at The Fessenden School since July 2019. Prior experience includes roles as Principal and Principal Fellow in Boston Public Schools from July 2016 to June 2019, and as a 6th Grade Team Leader/Math Teacher at Cambridge Public Schools from September 2013 to June 2016. Additionally, Sean Guthrie has experience as a Teacher and Sankofa Mentor at Boston Public Schools, a Head Football Coach at South Boston High School, and a professional football player with the New York Football Giants, Indianapolis Colts, and Washington Redskins. Educational qualifications include a Principal Fellowship from Boston College, a Master of Education in mathematics from Boston College Lynch School, a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Boston College, and an honorary doctorate from Boston College.
