Nicholas Irwin

Nicholas Irwin, FCAS, has a diverse work experience in the actuarial and insurance industry. Nicholas is currently serving as the Chief Actuary at Fetch Pet Insurance since October 2023. Prior to this, they co-founded and served as the CEO of HerSecure from January 2021 onwards.

Nicholas has also worked as the Lead Actuary at Pie Insurance from December 2021 to September 2023. Before that, they held the position of Director of Life Underwriting at Verisk from September 2018 to December 2021. Nicholas has also worked as a Director & Actuary at The Hartford from November 2017 to September 2018.

Earlier in their career, Nicholas contributed as a Lead Cyber Actuary at Verisk Analytics from February 2016 to November 2017. Prior to this, they served as an Actuarial Associate at The Hartford from March 2015 to February 2016, and from June 2013 to March 2015.

Nicholas gained experience as a Private Tutor at Florida State University from October 2011 to May 2013. Nicholas also interned as an Actuarial Intern at New York Life Insurance Company in 2012 and worked as an Assistant Instructor at SCA Chess School in June 2011.

Nicholas Irwin, FCAS, obtained a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Actuarial Science from Florida State University in 2013. Nicholas also holds the FCAS (Fellow of the Casualty Actuarial Society) certification, which they obtained in 2016.
