Walter Castaneda

Walter Castaneda currently serves as a Philanthropy Officer at the Vera Institute of Justice since May 2023. Prior to this role, Castaneda was an Individual Giving Officer at State Voices from August 2021 to May 2023, where responsibilities included managing a portfolio of high-net-worth donors and growing annual funds through innovative campaigns. From June 2019 to July 2021, Castaneda was the Manager of Online Engagement at The Ali Forney Center, successfully implementing digital fundraising initiatives that significantly increased donations. Earlier experience includes a Marketing and Fundraising Intern position at the Los Angeles LGBT Center and various roles in the service and nonprofit sectors. Castaneda holds a Bachelor of Science in Marketing from California State University, Long Beach and the Amsterdam University of Applied Sciences.
