Troy Kerr, AIA

Troy Kerr, AIA has a strong background in architecture with several years of experience in various roles. Troy is currently serving as the Vice President at FGM Architects, a position they have held since March 2022. Prior to this, they worked as a Senior Associate at the same company from January 2015 to March 2022. Before joining FGM Architects, Troy worked as a Project Architect at GreenAssociates Architects from February 2013 to January 2015. Troy also served as an Associate and Project Architect at Cannon Design from October 2009 to February 2013. Prior to that, they worked as a Project Architect at OWP/P Architects from January 2006 to October 2009. Troy started their career as an Architectural Intern at Hickok Cole Architects in 2003, where they worked for consecutive summers until 2005. Troy also interned at the same company in 2004. Troy Kerr, AIA completed their Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Architecture at the University of Maryland from 1999 to 2003. Troy then pursued their Master of Architecture (M.Arch.) at Washington University in St. Louis, attending from 2003 to 2005. Additionally, they were a Guest Student at Teknillinen korkeakoulu-Tekniska högskolan in 2004, focusing on Architecture.

In terms of certifications, Troy obtained their CPTED Certified Practitioner certification from Florida Atlantic University in December 2019. Troy also holds the Construction Documents Technologist certification from The Construction Specifications Institute, which they obtained in April 2012. Troy is a LEED Accredited Professional with a specialization in Building Design and Construction, certified by The Green Building Certification Institute in April 2006. Troy is also a Licensed Architect in the State of Illinois, having obtained this credential in November 2012.
