Carla D. Tillery has extensive work experience in various leadership roles. From 1995 to the present, they have served as the President of FHI Studio, where they oversee all aspects of the company's operations and management. Prior to this, from 1995 to 2023, they were the Chief Operating Officer of FHI Studio, responsible for day-to-day operations and various operational programs.
In 2008, Carla founded Carla D. Tillery Consulting, where they worked as the CEO. As a professional executive and life coach, they specialized in goal-oriented coaching techniques and provided coaching services in executive coaching, organizational planning, leadership effectiveness, career development, and personal transitions.
Furthermore, Carla co-founded Proverbs, Inc. in 2003 and served as the Vice President. In this role, they oversaw operations, staffing, and corporate administration and financing, focusing on providing guidance and support to youth and adults in improving their lives.
Additionally, Carla has served as an Adjunct Professor at the University of Hartford since 2010, teaching an Urban Transportation Planning Course for the civil engineering graduate program. The course covers various transportation planning methodologies and engages students in real-world planning scenarios.
Carla D. Tillery obtained their Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering from North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University from 1987 to 1991. Carla D. continued their education at the University of Connecticut, where they earned a Master's Degree in Civil Engineering from 1991 to 1993.
