Gary Saunders

Gary Saunders currently serves as the Vice Chairman of The Board and Board Member for FIA, Inc. since May 2019 and holds multiple leadership roles at Barclays Investment Bank as Managing Director and Head of Prime Derivatives Services since May 2012. In this capacity, Gary oversees the European operations of the Futures, OTC Clearing, FXPB, and Intermediation businesses. Previously, Gary held positions such as Director of Clearing Management at Barclays and Global Head of Listed Derivatives Risk at Deutsche Bank. Gary’s extensive experience in risk management and derivatives includes a notable stint at Barclays Capital where contributions were made to the development of pioneering cross product margin offerings. Educationally, Gary holds a 1st degree in Maths from Loughborough University, completed between 1996 and 1999.
