Michelle Deng-Rao

Michelle Deng-Rao has a diverse work experience, starting with their current role as Sr. Director of Clinical Data Integrity Oversight at FibroGen, Inc. Prior to that, they spent many years at Eli Lilly and Company, where they held various roles such as Research Scientist Statistician/Data Scientist/Advisor-Advanced Analytics Commercial, Consultant Statistician in medical quality, and Sr. Statistical Analyst/Consultant Statistician-Computational. At Eli Lilly, Michelle worked on advanced analytics, decision analytics, and optimization, partnering with business leaders to improve data-driven decision making. Michelle also provided statistical support in drug discovery, clinical research, submission, and biomarker research. Before joining Eli Lilly, they worked as a Biostatistician at Smith & Nephew Orthopaedics.

Michelle Deng-Rao attended Purdue University - The Graduate School from 2001 to 2003, where they obtained a Master of Science (MS) degree in Applied Statistics. During the same time period, they also studied at Indiana University-Purdue University Indianapolis and earned another MS degree in Statistics.
