Jon Belanger

Jon Belanger has extensive work experience in the field of cybersecurity. Jon started their career as an IT Manager at Fidelis Cybersecurity in 2008 and then worked as a Senior Product Support Engineer and a Senior Threat Analyst before becoming the Threat Systems Lead in 2018. In 2020, they joined NETSCOUT as a Senior Security Researcher. Prior to their time at Fidelis Cybersecurity, Jon worked as a Senior System Administrator at UMass Amherst from 2002 to 2008.

Jon Belanger earned a Bachelor of Applied Science and Technology degree in Information Technology and Philosophy from Rochester Institute of Technology, where they studied from 1997 to 2001. Later, they pursued a Master of Computing and Information Science degree in Information Technology at the same institution from 2001 to 2002. In May 2012, they obtained certifications as a GIAC Certified Enterprise Defender and a GIAC Certified Penetration Tester from GIAC.
