Derek Young

Derek Young is an accomplished financial executive with extensive experience in asset management and leadership roles. Currently serving as President of Fidelity International’s Japan operations and as a member of the Global Operating Committee since December 2018, Derek also holds the position of President and Representative Director at FIL Investments (Japan) Limited and FIL Securities (Japan) K. Prior to this, Derek was the Former Vice Chairman of Fidelity Institutional Asset Management at Fidelity Investments from July 1996 to March 2018. Derek's earlier experience includes managerial roles at KPMG and the Federal Reserve Board, where Derek worked as a Supervisory Financial Analyst. Derek holds an MBA in Accounting and Finance from Vanderbilt University's Owen Graduate School of Management and a Bachelor of Science in Finance from Troy University.
