Dean N.

Dean N. has extensive work experience in the field of information security. Dean is currently serving as the Head of Information Security at Fidelity Life Assurance Company Limited since May 2022. Prior to this role, they held the same position at AIA NZ from November 2017 to April 2022. Before joining AIA NZ, Dean worked as a Principal Security Analyst at Datacom from March 2017 to November 2017. Dean also served as a Senior SOC Analyst at MEEZA, a Managed IT Services Provider, from July 2012 to February 2017. Dean's accomplishments at MEEZA include leading the SOC to become the First ISO 27001/ISO 9001 Certified Commercial Security Operations Centre (SOC) in Qatar and implementing various information security policies. Dean has also worked as a Senior Information Security Specialist at Globe Telecom from March 2008 to July 2012, a Network Security Services Engineer at Convergys from February 2007 to March 2008, and a Network & Product Security Engineer at American Technologies, Inc. from July 2005 to February 2007.

Dean N. completed a Bachelor of Science degree in Electronics and Communications Engineering from Mapúa University between 1998 and 2003. Prior to that, they attended San Beda College Alabang from 1994 to 1998 but did not obtain a degree. In addition to their formal education, Dean N. has obtained various certifications in the field of information security and technology. Dean received the Payment Card Industry Professional (PCIP) certification from the PCI Security Standards Council in 2019, the Certified in Risk and Information Systems Control (CRISC) certification from ISACA in 2018, the Certified Information Security Manager (CISM) certification from ISACA in 2016, the Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) certification from (ISC)² in 2015, the Certified Ethical Hacker (C|EH) certification from EC-Council in 2013, the Certified ISO-27000 Specialist (G2700) certification from GIAC Certifications in 2013, the ITIL 2011 Foundation Version 3 certification from APMG-International in 2012, the QualysGuard Certified Specialist for Vulnerabilities Management certification from Qualys in 2010, and the Information Security Management Systems Auditor / Lead Auditor certification from IRCA in 2009. Dean N. also holds a license as an Electronics and Communications Engineer issued by the Philippines Professional Regulation Commission in 2003.
