Steven Mickelsen

Steven Mickelsen serves as the Chief Executive Officer of Field Medical and a Board Member at Atraverse Medical, Inc., while also practicing as a Cardiac Electrophysiologist at Scripps Health and holding the title of Professor Emeritus at The University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics. With a strong foundation in cardiac electrophysiology, Steven has held various leadership and consulting roles, including Director of Heart Rhythm Service at Veterans Administration Hospital Iowa City and Chief Translational Science Officer at Acutus Medical, Inc. As a founder of both Needle Eye Medical and FARAPULSE, Inc., Steven has pioneered innovations in atrial fibrillation treatments. Educational credentials include an MD from The University of New Mexico School of Medicine and an Internal Medicine residency at Mayo Clinic Alix School of Medicine.
