Saoirse Pottie

Saoirse Pottie is a dedicated marine conservation professional with extensive experience in environmental education and research. Currently serving as the Lead Researcher for the Marine Megafauna Foundation since February 2017, Saoirse established the citizen science program "ID the Leopard Shark." Additionally, Saoirse has contributed as a Tutor for the Field Studies Council, delivering outdoor environmental learning sessions for students. Previous roles include Marine Conservation Field Staff with Global Vision International, Environmental Education Instructor at Ecoventure, Research Assistant for Nature Seychelles, and Equestrian Staff at YMCA Camp Arbutus. Saoirse holds a Master's of Research in Bioscience from Swansea University and a Bachelor's Degree in Zoology from Anglia Ruskin University.
